Originally established to provide a space for community gatherings and events, Gaddesby Village Hall has evolved over the years to offer a wide range of amenities and facilities. The Hall is licensed to cater for 120 people, sitting. These may include:

How to Book?

The hall is currently used regularly by a variety of users including Women’s Institute, Yoga Group, Aerobics, Karate, Ballroom Dancing and the Melton and District Astronomical Society. It is used daily by Gaddesby School Community’s pre-school group during term times so it’s important bookings are placed as early as possible to ensure you get the slot and time you require.

Terms & Conditions

By hiring a shared space at Gaddesby Village Hall, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Liability: Gaddesby Village Hall shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, damages, or losses that may occur during the use of the shared space. Users assume full responsibility for their actions and are advised to exercise caution at all times.

  2. Damage: Users are responsible for any damage or loss of property incurred during the hiring period. Gaddesby Village hall reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement costs resulting from negligence or misuse of the shared space. This might be in the form of retaining any or all security deposits.

  3. Conduct: Users must conduct themselves in a respectful and considerate manner while utilizing the shared space. Any behavior deemed disruptive, offensive, or unlawful will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the hiring agreement.

  4. Compliance: Users are required to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing the use of the shared space. This includes but is not limited to fire safety regulations, health and safety guidelines, and noise ordinances.

  5. Booking and Payment: All bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Deposit must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the hiring period. Remaining payment for your booking shall be paid on the day of use or prior, this agreement will be arranged at the time of booking. Refunds may be issued at the discretion of Gaddesby Village Hall Officer Sue Evans, in accordance with the cancellation policy. 

  6. Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gaddesby Village Hall from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their use of the shared space, including but not limited to legal fees incurred as a result of any disputes or incidents.

  7. Amendments: Gaddesby Village Hall reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Users are encouraged to review the terms periodically for any updates or changes.

By hiring a shared space at Gaddesby Village Hall, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms may result in the termination of the hiring agreement and forfeiture of any payments made.
