The Cheney Knights crashed out of the Cup at the Quarter Final stage of the Competition after all the hard work had been done of staying in the Premier League on a cold and dark Night in Quorn.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with His Usual 2 of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and their game was very tight all the way through with all 3 Knights player adapting to the Piste well and when the chips were down and the Hunters were on for 4 Sam pulled out a great shot to take Out the Coch rendering it a dead end and with the Scores at 10-10 Dave put 1 in and Ryan followed with 2 to give the Knights a win taking it 13-10,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was joined by Kev Baker and Joe Steele which is also their normal 3 and they never got into the game going down very quickly losing 13-1,So at Half Time with the scores at 1-1 and the points difference very much not on the Knights side it really was all to play for.In the Second set of Games although Sams team took an early lead it was not long before they let the game slip through their fingers against the more superior of the 2 Quorn sides and but for a Mini comeback from the Gaddesby team the Hunters soon took the game 13-6,Over on the other Piste Richards game was much the same but by then the Knights were playing for pride as the game had already been lost and although a Gallant fight was put up the Hunters soon took the game 13-7,So the Final Score was 3-1,49-27.
Captain Sam said afterwards ‘I know that this loss is against a team in the Division below Us but the One thing that We wanted this Season was to keep Our Premier League status Which We did after coming back from the dead as with 4 games to go We were rock bottom and 5 points from safety but from nowhere We pulled out some impressive Results which started by beating the Premier League Champions Who have just won it again and had not lost all season 4-0,The other big One was beating the Woodies ‘1’ 3-1 away from Home and that gave Us real hope.I would like to Thank My Vice-Captain Richard who is a good sounding and together We somehow get there,I would like to Thank the team and even Players We have called in like Mark Bent,Charles Parker,Robert Woods and Anthony Carter as without those sort of People We would be in real trouble,It was important that We stayed in the Premier League as We are no longer the ‘New Boys’ in the Division and 5th place is not bad for a team Who only got Promoted the Season before and hopefully now We can move onwards and upwards as We now have something to build on.I think if this team sticks together and keeps improving then good things can happen,One thing is for sure the Cheney Knights have a bright future’.

The Cheney Knights secured their Premier League status and a 5th placed finish in what looked like an impossible mission a Few Weeks prior on a pleasant and Surprisingly dry Night in Gaddesby.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with His normal Two of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and they made quite easy work of it as the Knight going into this although 2 points above the dreaded relegation zone by no means safe so points were needed and the Knights got a 5 on One end and powered their way to victory 13-3,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was also playing with His Usual 2 of Kev Baker and Joe Steele joining Him and they always had a comfy lead and they took a lot of the pressure off beating the Crowns 13-6,So at Half Time with the Hathern team now definitely due to finish behind them that was One relegation place taken care of and now both the White Hart Oscars and the Soar Bottoms had to win 4-0 for the Knights to get relegated which although they hadn’t done all season did not make it any less tense so at 2-0 it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team went behind 11-5 but to their credit the Gaddesby team pulled it back to 12-12 before Ryan moved the Coch by accident to give the Crowns Victory 13-12,Over on the other Piste Richards team always looked in control taking an 8-3 lead before the Crowns got a 5 on One end before getting a 3 on the last end to win it 13-10,So the Final Score was 2-2,48-35.
Captain Sam said afterwards that this was not a good result on the Night but the important thing is that His team stayed up which looked impossible when the Knights were stuck at the bottom with 4 games remaining and 5 points adrift of safety,He also said it was very tense in the Pub straight after with both Captains waiting for results to come in and Sam Himself got a text message to say the Farriers had held the Soar Bottoms 2-2 meaning along with other results both the Knights and the Three Crowns ‘B’ were safe with the White Hart Oscars and the Soar Bottoms falling through the dreaded trap door,He lastly added that it is time to reopen that box that is the Cup as the Knights could still make this a successful season.
Next Game;6th September-Fox Hunters(Quorn)-Away.Cup Quarter Finals.

The Cheney Knights kept up their winning run with their First League away win of the Season on their last League away game of the season and made sure that relegation will go to the wire on a very pleasant Evening in Rothley.Captain Sam Burdett was again with Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and it has to be said from the off never looked like losing after getting a 5 early on with all 3 players on form and they just kept going until Victory was ensured with the final score 13-7,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was back and was playing with Kev Baker and Joe Steele and their game was a very close affair but with the Woodies 12-9 up Kev pulled out 2 great shots to give the Knights a 13-12 win,So at Half Time it was 2-0 and with the Woodies fighting for the Title and the Knights fighting relegation it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team took a healthy 8-1 lead after Sam took a Woodies boule out and by luck put the Knights on for 4 points and from that moment the Rothley team lost heart and in their own words needed putting out of their misery which Sam did with the last throw of the game for the Gaddesby team to win 13-5,Over on the other side it was another close affair until around the 7 mark with the Knights fading The Woodies pulled away to win 13-7,So the Final score was 3-1,46-37.
Captain Sam said after the game that because a Few sides around them had won this was a massive win and was a good win anyway against a team in Second place,He then added that with One game left it really will go down to the wire but He thinks the way His team have played lately they are more than up to the job in hand,He lastly added that every single boule thrown on the last game needs to make a difference as the last game not the last Few games will be the One now that defines His teams season.

The Cheney Knights kept up their fight for survival in a tense but enjoyable game that was a game they needed to win to keep up the pressure on the teams above them on a pleasant Night in Gaddesby.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with Dave Whait and Joe Steele and the did not get off to the best of starts going 6-1 down but when the Knights pulled back a 4 they really should have kicked on but didn’t and the Piste very much went against Them with all 3 players finding every big stone that was on there and it didn’t take long for the Oscars to win it 13-5,Over on the other side Acting Vice Captain was playing with Ryan Shaw and Mark Bent and they took a good lead before letting the Quorn team back in but when it mattered the Knights and Kev stepped up to the mark to win the game 13-9,So at Half Time and with relegation on a knifes edge it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games all of Sams team improved vastly as the Gaddesby team took a 10-4 lead and although a late comeback was made by the Oscars which made for a tense finish with the score at 12-11 a opposition player took out a Cheney boule but Joe’s boule which was an inch from the backboard  was the closest One meaning the Knights won it 13-11,Over on the other Piste it was a much closer affair and remained so all the way through until the Knights took a 12-8 lead and Mark with the last throw of the game put it on the Coch to win the game 13-8,So the Final Score was 3-1,44-41.
Captain Sam said afterwards that this was another good win but this late splurge of wins for the Knights mean nothing if they end up going down anyway so it really is a time for cool heads,He also said that if anyone would have offered Him the Knights current predicament 3 Weeks ago He would have ripped their hand off as the Knights have won 7 of the last 8 games on offer which they just were not doing before,He lastly added that with only 2 games remaining this really is when every point counts from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights turned the League table on its head as the bottom team thrashed the top team and current Premier League Champions to give themselves hope of staying up on a surprisingly pleasant Night in Gaddesby.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and they got off to a flying start going 12-2 up before letting the Peelers pull it back to 9 and proving that sometimes the last point is the hardest One to get but they held their nerve to win it 13-9.Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was playing with Kev Baker and Mark Bent who had a very good Evening on only His Third outing and they soon saw off the Hoby team 13-3,So at Half Time and with the Knights on great form and conscious what had happened a Few Weeks previous when they blew a 2-0 lead and here they were 2-0 up again it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team just had more of the same with all Three players in White hot form there really was ever only going to be One winner as the Gaddesby team took it 13-1,Over on the other side although Sams game had finished a lot earlier so a win was already theirs the Knights needed a 4-0 really against a team who had beaten them 4-0 in Hoby and although it was a tight game with the last shot of the game Kev kept His cool to take a boule out and give the Knights 3 to win the game 13-10,so the final score was 4-0,52-23.
Captain Sam said afterwards that if the Knights are to stay up this result could be massive and that He was very proud of the whole team,He then said that special mention should go to Mark Bent who played well even though He kept talking about it in the Pub after,He lastly added that this is what can be achieved when the Knights put their mind to it but this result will mean nothing unless the team keep going and play like this or better from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights gave themselves a very hard road back to safety as they looked on the brink of relegation with a result that plunged them even deeper into trouble on a drizzly Night in Barrow Upon Soar.Captain Sam was playing with His normal 2 of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and they were involved in a very tight game all the way through with some good Petanque being played and what was going on over on the other piste only hightened the tension as both games were on 12-12 at the same time and Sam was sitting game boule but with the last throw of the game the Bottoms took it 13-12,Over in the other game Vice Captain Richard Wesson was back after a 3 Week absence and He Once again was with Kev Baker and Joe Steele and their game was not far off point for point the same as Sams game but the difference this time was at 12-12 Kev pulled off a great shot to give the Knights victory 13-12,So at Half Time the scores were 1-1 and with both teams at the wrong end of the league table it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team went 5-0 down in the First end and though the Gaddesby team got 4 on the following end things did not go the Knights way as they Barrow team won 13-6,Over on the other side it was a carbon copy game again But this time the Knight crumbled 13-7,So the Final score was 3-1,51-38.
Captain Sam said after the game that this was a very bad Night for the Cheney but His team keep promising to beat the teams around them and not delivering,He then added that His own team threw too many Boules that had no effect on the game and the only tasty thing the Knights had all Night was the Shephards Pie for the Match supper,He lastly added that although it really does look hard now for the Knights to come back as they are 5 points from safety it is not impossible and there are still 16 points for the Knights to play for but every single point must be fought for from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights fought out a very hard draw which puts them within touching distance of safety although still bottom on a surprisingly dry and pleasant Night in Gaddesby.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with Dave Whait and Joe Steele and they did not get off to a great start going 8-2 behind and although they fought back to get some points back The Farriers were the winners taking it 13-9,Over on the other side Acting Vice-Captain was playing with Ryan Shaw and Charles Parker who had impressed in His previous outing and they as well went behind but from nowhere the Knights got a 5 and there was no turning back and with some great play from Kev won it 13-10,So at Half Time it was 1-1 and all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team went 8-1 down but slowly clawed their way back against the odds with Sam saving the Gaddesby team on more than One end and with the score at 12-9 to the Farriers One Farriers player Mark Granatowicz put the Knights on for 3 by moving the Coch and Sam kept a cool head to win the game 13-12.Over on the other side the Ratby team made quick work of beating the Knights with a score of 13-2,So the Final score was 2-2,48-37.
Captain Sam said afterwards that this was a massive improvement on the previous few Weeks against One of the better teams in the League but more wins are needed,He also said that while He was very happy with Charles again His own team need to stop wasting boule,He lastly added That although the League table looks better that it did this is where the hard work really begins and the Knights need to stop talking about it and make every boule count from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights hit Rock bottom as they crashed to the bottom of the Premier League on a Night when like the rain they promised a lot and delivered little on a drizzly Night in Quorn. Captain Sam Burdett was playing with Dave Whait and Joe Steele and although the Knights won the First 4 ends getting 1’s on each end it was not long before the Oscars who it has to be said had a lot of luck on the Night got back into it and although Sam repeatedly saved the Gaddesby team it was not long before the Oscars won it 13-5,Over on the other side acting Vice-Captain Kev Baker was playing with Mark Bent and Rob Woods better known as Beno and Peck and they let the Oscars get 5 on One end and that pretty much summed the game up as the Quorn Team won in 13-3,So at Half time the score was 2-0 and if the Cheney were to get anything out of the game it was all to play for.In the Second set of games it really was same as before as Sam kept saving the Knights but had nothing to play with and the Oscars won it 13-5, Kev’s team dug in deep on the other side and special mention has to go to Beno and Peck as the Knights thundered to a 13-4 win,So the final score was 3-1,43-26.
Captain Sam said after the game that this again was simply not good enough against a team who have been bottom for most of the season even if the Knights had no Richard Wesson and no Ryan Shaw,He then added that although this was a bad defeat the Knights are still 4 points from safety like they were before the game with a game in hand so there is hope,He lastly added that People need to stand up and be counted now from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights slumped to another Home defeat against descent opposition but should have done better on a pleasant Night in Gaddesby. Captain Sam was playing with Dave Whait and Joe Steele and although they went behind early on they soon took a healthy 9-5 lead but the Crowns had a few big ends and before long the Hathern team had won it 13-10,Over on the other side acting Vice-Captain Kev Baker was playing with Ryan Shaw and Charlie Parker who had a very good debut and shone the brightest out of the Three players and they took a good 8-0 lead and looked all set for victory until in the blink of an Eye it was 11-11 and the Crowns got 2 on the last end so at Half time it was 2-0 and with both teams only just losing it was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team soon found themselves 9-0 down before getting 4 1’s in a row but with Joe just not at the races all Night and the Crowns getting the run of the piste the Crowns had soon tied it up 13-4,Kevs game was a close game all the way through until the Knights pulled away with the scores even to win 13-10,So the final score was 3-1,49-38.
Captain Sam said after the game that this was again just not good enough and Results need to change if the Gaddesby Team are to remain a Premier League team,He then added that He was very impressed with Charlie Parker who will play again this term for the Knights after a good game,He lastly added that the Knights need to start winning now not in a few Weeks as this is not going to be easy,People need to roll up their sleeves from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights came away with a winning draw in a game they should have won on a very hot and very frustrating Night in Hathern. Captain Sam Burdett was playing this Week with Dave Whait and Joe Steele and they won their game in 5 ends with some great pointing from Joe to win 13-0,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was playing with Kev Baker and Mark Bent who was making His Knights debut and they thrashed the Crowns as well winning 13-4,So against a team in the place above them the Knights were winning 2-0 and with a win looking likely it was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team went behind 5-1 but pulled it back to 8-6 and a comeback looked on but it was not to be as the Gaddesby team went 11-9 up before the Hathern team got 4 on the last end to win 13-11,Over on the other side it was much the same as the Crowns went 7-0 up before a mini comeback from the Knights but it was not to be as the Crowns won 13-8,So the Final score was 2-2,45-30.
Captain Sam said after the game that He was very disappointed as not only would a win have meant points for the Knights it would also have taken points off the team above them,He added that He was impressed with Marks First game and with Richard away for 3 Weeks now it is good to know they have good back up coming through,He lastly added that the Knights need to learn to kill games off as every game is now a big One from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights edged into the Quarter Finals of the Cup on a drizzly but dramatic Night against a tough and skilled team in Gaddesby. Captain Sam Burdett was playing with His normal Two of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and both players had not had the best of matches the Week before against the same opposition at the same venue but the Knights took an early 6-0 lead and but for a few ends that the Woodies won the Gaddesby team won at a canter 13-5,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was playing with His normal Two as well of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and theirs was a closer game although the Knights had the better of the earlier ends but in the end the Rothley team won it 13-10,So at half Time it was 1-1 and as this was the Cup it was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team was playing against the 3 that beat them 13-2 the Week before and before long they found themselves 9-0 down and things were not looking good but through sheer grit and determination the Knights did not drop another point and all three players were on fire and with the last throw of the match Sam put One on giving the Knights 2 and a win that came from nowhere 13-9,Over on the other side Richards game was even all the way through until the Woodies got 4 on One end before winning 13-7,So the final score was 1-1,43-40.
Captain Sam said afterwards that He was very proud of His own Three especially after the way Ryan and Dave had played the Week before,He then added that earlier in the Cup Richards team had carried His own with Richards team winning Two and His own team losing Two but the Knights are One team not Two and this was a good result against a team currently Second in the Premier league,He lastly added that the Cup now needs putting in a box until the end of the League campaign when it starts again and the Knights need to be fully focused on the League from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights lost their First League game at Home since September 5th 2014 in a tough match on a pleasant Night in Gaddesby.Captain Sam Burdett was with His normal Two of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and both players did not have the best of Nights as although it was close at the start Sam could only save the Knights so many times before the Woodies won 13-6,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was also playing with His normal Two of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and like Sams game their game started off close,The Knights however pulled away going 9-4 up before they let the Rothley team back in and with the score at a tense 12-12 Richard pulled off a great shot to win 13-12,So at Half Time the score was 1-1 and it was all to play for.In the Second set of games it was much the same as before as Dave had a go at pointing and with the score at 12-0 to the Woodies it looked like the Knights were going to get fannied until the Knights got 2 before going down 13-2,Richards team started off close again before the Woodies pulled away from the Gaddesby team to win 13-6,So the final Score was 3-1,51-27.
Captain Sam said afterwards that it was a shame that the unbeaten record had gone as it was a good run that they were proud of but all good things have to come to an end and that is now in the past but the Knight will get a chance for revenge as exactly the same fixture is happening next Week in the cup,He said that Richards team saved them from another 4-0 thrashing but the Cheney are slipping into a relegation fight and need to pull their socks up,He lastly added that every single point and game matters now from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights got totally thrashed by the current Premier League Champions in a game they should have got more out of on a pleasant Night in Hoby.Captain Sam was playing with His normal 2 of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and although they went far behind early on they fought back well with Sam pulling out some great shots especially to get the Knight a 4 when all seamed dead and buried,Then when 2 boule could not be separated with the score at 12-10 when most People favouring Sams boule it was decided that the end was null and void and the next end was enough to give the Peelers a 13-10 victory,Over on the other side Vice Captain Richard Wesson was playing with His normal 2 as well of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and they had a disaster losing 13-3 so at Half Time the score was 2-0 and if a draw was to be had it really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team went 8-2 down but pulled it back to 8-5 before the Hoby team took it 13-5,Over on the other side Richards team were just not at the races again losing 13-1 giving them a grand total of 4 on the Night so the thrashing was complete with the best thing You can say on the Night is that the Gaddesby team were well supported with People coming over to watch the game,So the final score was 4-0,52-19.
Captain Sam said afterward that this performance was just not good enough and although He appreciates that the Peelers are a good team who won it by great pointing the Knights are in the big boys league and need to raise their game,He then added that 2 4-0 loses in the opening four games is relegation stuff so thing need to change,He lastly added that this needs a line drawing under it and cannot happen again and loses need to be turned into wins from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights marched on to the Second round of the Cup with a good win against tough opposition on a rain expectant Night in Gaddesby.
Captain Sam Burdett was back with His normal Two of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and they were straight out the traps taking a healthy 12-4 lead before The Rutters got Two back before the Knights put it to bed winning 13-6,Over on the other side the Knights welcomed back Vice-Captain Richard Wesson and He was back with His normal 2 as well of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and their game was fairly even all the way through until the Knights won it at the death 13-11,So at Half Time the scores were 2-0 to the Knights so the Gaddesby team needed 18 points between them or a win to progress to the next round so it was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team got off to a bad start as they might have won the First end but they soon found themselves 9-2 down but the Knights dug their heels in and got some big scoring ends and did not drop another point winning 13-9,Over in Richards game it was another tight affair but when Sams team had won meaning victory on the Night the Knights took their foot off the peddle losing 13-8,So the final score was 3-1,47-39.
Captain Sam said afterwards that the Knights always enjoy playing this team as they have a good laugh but with the Rutters being a Division ‘A’ team this was no push over at all,He also said that His own Three really do seem to be back on the money and games like this are also confidence builders which is a good thing,He lastly added that it is back to League business next Week and His team really do need to get their head down from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights got Their First League victory of the Season in Their First home game of the season on a pleasant evening in Gaddesby.Captain Sam was with Dave Whait and Anthony Carter who was playing His First game of the Year and although the First few ends were Ones to either team as soon as the game got into its stride the Knights brought out their class as they took a 12-3 lead before letting the Bottoms back in for a few ends before taking it 13-8,Over on the other side Acting Vice-Captain Kev Baker was playing with the Young kids with Ryan Shaw and Joe Steele joining Him in the absence of Vice Captain Richard Wesson and their game was close all the way through before the Barrow upon Soar team won the game 13-9,So at Half time it was 1-1 and all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team lost the First 3 ends losing One every time but You got the feeling if the Gaddesby team kept their cool they would get their moment and they did as they got some big ends with all Three players rising to the occasion on the Night as the Bottoms were put out their misery when Sam who was limping all Night with a serious ankle injury put the last shot on with the scores at 11-8 to win the game 13-8,Over on the other side it was a much more tense affair as again it was even all the way through until the Knights won it from 11-10 to win 13-10,So the final score was 3-1,48-39.
Captain Sam said afterward that He was pleased the Knights had got their First win and that His own team had done what they have been promising to do for Weeks and win both games,He then added that the Victory was a good performance against a nice bunch of People without Richard who has started the season well,Before lastly adding that now they have that First win the World is their oyster from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights had a bad Night at the Office getting a 4-0 thrashing on a difficult piste on a hot and sticky Night in Ratby.Captain Sam was playing with His normal 2 of Ryan Shaw and Dave Whait and they were fast out the blocks taking a 4-0 lead but them did not win another point on a Piste with a big sideways lean and 2 streams going through the Centre of it but played not to bad and had luck against them as they went down 13-4,Over on the other side Vice Captain Richard Wesson was playing with His normal 2 of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and they went down convincingly as well losing 13-3,So at half Time the score was 2-0 to the Farriers and if the Knights were going to get anything out of this then there really was all to play for.In the Second set of Games Sam’s Team started well winning 3 on the First end with Some good play from Dave and kept a good lead until they got to 8 before the Ratby team just kept getting 2’s and although Sam kept Saving the Knights at the end the Farriers took it 13-8,Over on the other side Richards Team had a 5 and a 4 against them and although they had a late surge the Gaddesby team lost 13-7,So the final score was 4-0,52-22.
Captain Sam said afterwards that although He Himself enjoys playing on pistes like this there really is so much luck involved and Home advantage really is a bonus here for the Farriers as not many teams get a lot here,He said He gets the feeling that the Knights are on the brink of getting some good results that they deserve,He lastly added that He is not reading too much into this game but results do need to improve vastly from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights squeezed into the First round of the Cup instead of going into the plate in a game that should have been won easier than it was on a pleasant Night in Glenfield.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with His normal Two of Dave Whait and Ryan Shaw and although they went behind they took a healthy 11-7 lead before blowing it completely and letting the Buffers in to take the game 13-11,Over on the other side Vice-Captain Richard Wesson was also playing with His normal Two of Kev Baker and Joe Steele and there really was no stopping them for the Second Week running as they took a 11-1 lead and although the Glenfield team did start to come back there was only going to be One winner as the Knights took it 13-6,So at half time and with the game set at 1-1 there really was all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team were just not getting the rub of the Piste and it has to be said had no luck at all as they went down 13-6,Richards team on the other hand really were on it as they thrashed the Buffers 13-5 in a game that finished before Sams making it a Cheney victory anyway as the Gaddesby team won by 6 shots as they won it 2-2,43-37.
Captain Sam said afterwards that He is absolutely delighted with the form of Richards team and for the Second Week in a row they have carried His own team,He also added that the main thing is that the Knights are in the Cup and a line must be drawn under Tonights game,He lastly said that His own Team are not getting any luck but are also not playing well and that needs to change as a long and winding road lies ahead from now until the end of the season.

The Cheney Knights dusted off the cobwebs from their boules to get a 2-2 draw in their First Premier League game for 10 Years on a freezing Night in Hathern.Captain Sam Burdett was playing with Dave Whait and Ryan Shaw and they did not have a good First game back with some good pointing from the Three Crowns and only getting points here and there every so often there was only going to be One winner as the Hathern team took it 13-3,Over on the other side Vice Captain Richard Wesson was playing with Kev Baker and Joe Steele and they were simply unstoppable taking a 11-0 lead at some rate with some great play from Joe Steele Who no longer has the pressure of getting to Asda as soon as the game finishes and there were no complaints when the Knights took it 13-1.So at Half time it was 1-1 and the game was very much all to play for.In the Second set of games Sams team looked comfortable until with the score at 9-7 the Crowns pulled a 5 out of the bag and although Sam kept saving the Gaddesby teams bacon the Crowns took it 13-10,Over on Richards game it was another close affair until Kev got 2 at the death to give the Cheney a 13-11 win,So the final score was 2-2,39-38.
Captain Sam said afterwards that this was not a bad result against a team normally battling it out for the Title away but His own Three need to improve,He then added that Richards Team really did all play well before adding that the Knights are now at the top table and really do need to get results from now until the end of the season.
